Writing lessons that are worth a view
Writing lessons can help different people with their goals. There are many
sites online where you can find free lessons to help you with your writing
without having to pay for the education.

Here is a list of my favorite online sites offering free lessons on
writing:
1. Uncle Orson’s Writing Class. This is Uncle Orson as in Orson Scott Card, the
author of Ender’s Game! He’s posted over 30 lessons on writing to help aspiring
writers who have written him asking him questions. The lessons are at
http://www.hatrack.com/writingclass/index.shtml.
2. For people who are overcoming ESL (English as a Second Language), there are
two sites that offer lessons on writing which are helpful: ESL Monkeys at
http://www.eslmonkeys.com and ESL go.com (http://www.eslgo.com/classes/write/).
ESL go.com has 45 free lessons for ESL students and ESL quizzes online for
students to test their knowledge.
3. Gillian Robert’s Writing Mystery Lessons. Gillian Robert’s is a mystery
writer who has also written a non-fiction guide, You can write a Mystery, for
aspiring mystery writers. I’ve checked her book out at the library and it’s very
helpful. In addition, she makes 13 lessons available online for writers to use
for free. Her lessons are available at
Http://www.gillianroberts.com/writing.html.
4. Free teachers’ writing lesson plans. Here is one teacher’s writing lesson
plans sites that I like: ProTeacher at http://www.proteacher.com/070037.shtml.
There are also many colleges and universities that provide help with writing
lesson plans for their student teachers to use. Indiana Web Academy has a great
search engine to help you find the perfect lesson plan. It’s available at
http://www.lessonlocator.org/.
