Writing a resume is easier when you have a template
For many job seekers, writing a resume is the hardest stumbling block they
face before the interview itself. Why? Resume writing stalls more
careers because it’s hard to write a resume. People
don’t know what to write or what to include in their resumes. To overcome
writer’s block, look at a few other examples to help you conceptualize your own.
Use the interview as your goal when writing the resume
When writing your resume, always consider getting
interviews as your immediate goal. The more interviews you go on, the more
likely you’ll be offered a position. The more job offers you get, the better you
are situated to decide what you want to do. Follow the pattern here?
With resumes, everybody puts in the same things; where they worked, what they
did, and what their education was. The way to differentiate yourself is that you
must imagine the interviewer reviewing your resume. You want to have things on
your resume that people will circle, draw exclamation points, and notes on the
margins.
The thing to remember is that it’s no harder to write a good resume than it is
to just write a resume. If you’re going to spend time
writing your resume, make sure you find some
good examples and get helpful advice.
