Online Education
An online education is not the same thing as a virtual education. By that
statement I mean that an education you receive on line is as real as the
education you would receive in a traditional
setting. MIT has an aggressive agenda of having available online all the
coursework from their traditional classrooms. How’s that for equal?
Distance Learning helps with changes to careers
Many people have discovered that going to school online part-time has helped
them change careers with less risk or intrusion than
stopping work to go to school full-time would incur. Besides that, most people
wouldn’t have the ability to pursue an education full time without working to
pay their way.
If you’ve been interested in a career change, then getting your education online
is a perfect opportunity for you. Many universities have entire programs online
now including degrees in business, health care, IT, and education. If you’re not
the best with using your computer or writing,
plan to get a little extra help in these two areas to ensure your online
learning will be a positive experience.
You don’t have to have a completed degree before you include your online
coursework on your resume. Having recent coursework on your resume will be a
great talking point during your next interview.
