Online continuing education fits into busy schedules
More and more community centers have gotten on the band wagon with distance
learning. Now, in addition to more formal degree programs, online continuing
education coursework is also available. “Continuing education” (CE) courses are
courses that are meant for adults who can take them for either personal,
academic, or work-related reasons. Usually CE course work, while taught at a
college level, does not count for college credit towards a
education degree program.
Take a second language or get a business education
The benefit of a distance learning
program is that you can usually fulfill your course work requirements at your
convenience. The online part of the program lets you stay up to date with your
course easily by getting online and logging online to your program.
You can continue to pursue various educations without having to be in a degree
program. Continuing online studies is a way for you to keep your brain in good
shape; if you don’t use it, you lose it! Some of the most popular online
continuing programs include:
• online writing
• online accounting and other business programs
• online art appreciation
• online foreign language
• online computer technology
• online web design and publishing
When you look online for CE programs, make sure you check out local community
colleges; they often offer CE programs online at great values.
